3D Printing Fashion

Good Afternoon.

Today the post is more unusual and personal.  Three weeks ago I have presented my Major Project- my App concept idea to my tutors. Later that day, I have submitted all of my documents, essays, posters etc..  Tadahh. Its all finish. 1 final major project, 1 Dissertation, 11 modules, 100 mental breakdowns and 3673 tears later I ready for my graduation on 12th of July ... 4 years of best/ worst days of Uni is over...
Today with my post I want to share with you all the idea about my project and all the upsides and downsides. Let's Start with the idea themselves and the possibility of creating something so unique was a great challenge. The project initial hypothesis is about hybrid interaction which contributes to a personalisation of the fabricated object and the impact on design concept.  . Thus, supporting the exploration of digital fabrication approach, introducing craft qualities into digital domain.
"Growth means change and change involves risk, stepping from the known to the unknown." A flurry of new exciting technologies is signalling the birth of a new medium, not yet completely understood, not yet fully imagined. There is a conviction, that anyone dreaming about a particular model of the garment should be able to materialise it on a computer screen in the near future....
University was a great place to let me to experiment and create something different. A future shaped by algorithm, generative data and 3D printing technology are having revolutionary impact on design. I have collaborated with a company called Materialise with printing the dress at "one go" with no additional assembly using material TPU 91A and SLS (selective Laser Sintering) Method. My bestie who is 3D designer helped me with designing the dress using Marvellous Designer and 3D's Max and Zbrush Software. I was really inspired by people like Iris Van Harper, threeAsFour and Nervous System. There is also an amazing exhibition happening in New York Manus x Machina Exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Fashion and technology is merging into one hybrid element which is all about designing the future fashion experiences. This is why I called my project "Hybrid Fabrics" Thinking about what it is that we want to do and achieve, where we wish  to take our craft or what creative milestones challenge us the most"Design is a type of communication about the way object or idea speaks to its audience. Good design not only get its message across but engages in conversation.” (Kinfolk, 2016)

You don’t get better on the days when you feel like going. You get better on the days when you don’t want to go, but you go anyway. If you can overcome the negative energy coming from your tired body or unmotivated mind, you will grow and become better. It won’t be the best workout you have, you won’t accomplish as much as what you usually do when you actually feel good, but that doesn’t matter. Growth is a long term game, and the crappy days are more important.
